Climate change risk to underwater cultural heritage in stone

WATERISKULT aims at investigating the effects of key-factors of climate change on the conservation of underwater cultural heritage, including ocean acidification and extreme weather events. By an interdisciplinary approach based on mixed field and laboratory experimentation, WATERISKULT explores the current and predicted decay trends of stone in underwater archaeological sites, constrained by the diverse characteristics of the materials and submarine environments.
